Anticipation, providing orientation and inspiration for the Swiss society
digiVolution is the work of a group of committed, well networked players from all Switzerland’s language regions, with a wealth of practical and scientific experience. digiVolution will be presented to the public on March 11th during the Swiss Cyber Security Days 2021.
In a pilot phase during its first year of activity, this non-profit public utility foundation is establishing itself as a strategic observatory and force at the service of the Swiss society. It places its action within the «cyber-bio-physical space» in order to identify the complexity of its dynamics, challenges, and opportunities for the Swiss society. To this end, it will launch its first project called « Convergences3 ». digiVolution’s ambition is to contribute to the harmonious, safe and sovereign development of the digitalization of our country, and to this end will offer strategic advice and training to decision-makers. digiVolution’s action is aimed at a strategic, long-term, and anticipatory logic. It wants to support and accompany decision-makers and contribute to the public and political debate.
For Gérald Vernez, President of the Foundation, “our holistic, systemic and networked approach will enable us to bring transversality, strategic depth and adaptability; we want to move away from vertical and compartmentalized approaches, which are no longer sufficient to grasp the dynamics and complexity of change“.
Vice President Adolf J. Doerig adds that “thousands of economic leaders are helpless in the face of the multiple and rapid societal changes; they need sense, identity and support with the best possible overview to ensure the sustainability of their businesses“.
digiVolution was built by its founders and thanks to the support of first donors convinced by the relevance of its mission for the future of Switzerland, its companies and its institutions. In2021, its structures will be developed, the first steps of « Convergences3 » will be realized and its initial support will be extended. A progress report will be published annually, allowing digiVolution to adapt dynamically to the circumstances and needs of its beneficiaries.
